I have been struggling with the same thing for as long as i can remember! It's such a relief that its just not me so thanx!!! I've found that keeping a journal to empty your head of thoughts before you go to bed helps, sometimes though you will find you will write for hours! Whn you lay down concentrate on your breathing....in and out in and out boring yes but it might help....just let any stray thoughts rush around in your head but dont single them out just let them swirl around. It may take a week or so to get used to it but its better than laying there for hours and hours and hours.........

I heard that virgin coconut oil is good to get you sound sleep. My brother is also has insomia, he is starting to sleep soundly but still go to bed late. He said it is helping him a good sleep.

If possible take a shower before going to sleep, drink warm milk half hour before going to bed. Don't watch TV before going to bed.

Do you snore? You might have sleep apnea. I got a C-PAP machine to help me breathe at night and I sleep much better.

Drink some milk before sleep. Eat few fruits before sleep. Like apple etc. This should help to maintain your normal sleep. Try to keep ur room as dark as possible. Don't watch any TV or DVD before going to bed. If possible meditate and sleep.
