I noticed that some myLotters use a harsh language to comment on discussions. To be honest, I feel somewhat disrespect for them, and annoyed everytime they make comments, although only a few of them respond to my discussion. I really want to click a (-)/negative point to their comment but it seems that I would be harsh myself if I do that. Is it only me who feel this way or do you feel the same way as I do? What do you think and what will you do if you have a situation like this? I thought that all myLotters should be at least polite when posting either discussion or comments. thx...

I agree with you. The myLotters should not comment harshly to anyone. I would simply ignore such people. Its just a waste to time thinking about such people who do not have respect for others and neither have a control on their way of writing. If they themselves get harsh comments, they would freak out. But they do not think twice before being harsh on some one else. Its best to ignore such people. A negative point wouldn't change them anyway. This is what I feel.

I have seen a few remarks that were not called for, some people can get nasty and sarcastic and there is no reason for that, it is like they are so angry to be here responding. I try to ignore those. Have a good day!

I am sorry that you are getting negative and harsh responses to your discussions, sometimes it's a different culture that people can be stern and come over harsh when really it's their way, they have no nasty intent, just they can be brash and expect others to accept it. Sometimes people have bad days and take it out in their responses, they don't mean to. I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt, we are only human. But if someone is outright rude then that is unacceptable, but I wouldn't engage with them, sometimes it's best to shrug it off and ignore the comment because if you argue back or respond back the way they have to you it causes bad feeling and it is liable to get your account deleted as it has done in the past to some people. True friends on Mylot will not make harsh comments or judgements against you, focus on the positives and the good feedback you get. You are doing nothing wrong, continue as you are, don't change for other people that is the most important thing to remember!

Hi jofeli! If someone will make harsh comments on my discussions or responses, i will just ignore it since it won't do me any good if I will give into anger. I have always been constant in respecting other people's individuality and their own opinions and beliefs and I expect that somehow, I will also be given the same respect. I know that we are all different from each other and our opinions/beliefs differ too. However, we can always disagree respectably and decently without insulting or offending one another. I am just happy though that most of the mylotters that I came across with here are mostly good and kind people. It is such a blessing that I am really thankful for. Take care and God bless my friend!

Yeah I know how you feel. I have never gotten a harsh comment so I never had to deal with something like this. But if I had to come across it I would probably hit the (!) button or the (-) one.
