Yesterday while I was (unfortunately) in the hospital emergency room, I was trying to get in touch with my son. At first we were just trying to return his call because he called us while we were in church. We tried to call his cell phone but it always went to voice mail. That wasn't surprising because when he's at home he has horrible service. So we tried the house phone, it was busy - we don't have call waiting. We kept trying both phones getting the same answer. We were pretty sure he didn't hang up the house phone correctly (that happens some times) and he was probably playing a nintendo game and couldn't hear his cell phone. After a couple hours I was getting worried and was thinking of calling the neighbor to see if he was ok. But first I though to call my nephew who my son hangs out with sometimes. Now, a couple months ago we had a bit of a problem with my son and nephew because my son was playing a joke on my other nephew telling him that he was in the hospital. So the one nephew calls the other nephew to tell him that my son is in the hospital. The nephew then calls me to say his brother told him my son was in the hospital and is he ok? Well, this was at 2am so I didn't get any sleep, but we found out in the morning that my son was playing a joke on the other nephew, he thought he knew it was a joke. OK, so back to yesterday... I told my husband to call my nephew (this is the one that called me at 2am about my son) and see if my son was with him. I told him that if they WERE together to tell him "Tell Jason his mom's in the hospital" but that if he wasn't with him to just tell him we were looking for him no big deal. Well, my son was with my nephew and my husband DIDN'T say that! I think that would have been SOOOO funny!!! Now my son did freak out a bit, even though I didn't think I was in any danger. I still would have loved to see my nephew's face when my son told him what was wrong. I'm sure my nephew called my sister to tell him, and she probably didn't believe him - she got woken up at 2am with the last call too! Don't you think that would have been hilarious to say that to my nephew???
