8 glasses of water?

Are you able to strictly follow what they say about drinking 8-12 glasses of water everyday? I try to follow this as much as I can but there are times when I just really can't take in so much liquid. I'd often times feel bloated and full.

Nope. Unfortunately I don't. I think I should but most of the time. I'm too lazy to get up my chair and get a glass of water... I really ought to change! :(

I strictly follow it and drink more than 8 glasses during summertime. I can feel the effect right away by urinating much and dispising those toxins in the body.

Well, I don't drink water but I am sure that I drink that many glasses of tea in a day.Also, I like to have a piece of ice in my mouth constantly. I know that chomping on it isn't good for my teeth,but I have craved ice for a long time now. I think that it is due to having a low iron level.

i don't follow this rule so strictly but i do drink maximum water everyday 8 to 9 glass of water that will be toatal of two to three liters of water per day. i know one of my friend he is very much worried about his health all the time he drinks 4 to 5 litres of water daily. but i can't do the same. everybody has their own priority in his/her life so it is not a problem but we should atleast drink minimum of 8 glass of water per day.

I've read recently that drinking that much water might not be as good an idea as has been touted. Most people get a lot of their water through their diets and don't need to take in that much water. If you're sure to drink when you're thirsty, you're getting plenty of fluids. There's such thing as too much and if you start feeling bad because you're filled to the gills, you're probably getting less out of it. I ended up in the hospital a couple of years ago because of an electrolyte balance caused by excessive water consumption. Not a fun time, and I know now that drinking when you're thirsty is usually more than adequate.

I tried to follow it But my tummy really can't take it. When I have drink like 3 bottles, I get so fulled that makes me threw up. It is reallyhard for me. I wasn't thirsty enough to drink that much water but I will still try for my health:P

A nutritionist told me that half a glass of water every 30 minutes is okay. You don't have to take it one glass after another.

I heard that it's a myth. You really don't need to because our body is mostly made up of water anyway. And the thing is that all people are different. Not everyone can or should follow this rule. It's a double edged sword when it comes to what's 'nutritious' for us. What's good for one person may not necessarily be good for another.

Hi Michele, 8 to 12 glass of water daily is you supose to drink, but, sometimes i do not have time, because when i at work in my office times go by so fast that when i realise, is tme to go home, and when i at home i drink, maybe five or six glasses of water, so is very dificult do keepup whit that.
