You may say that somebody is your best friend and it may be true also. But even in your best friend, there may be a shortcoming or something like that which you may not like! Can you say what it is?

I have a friend who always talks loudly. This does not bother me except when I can hear her from across the street. It bothers my husband whenever she comes over, though. She has said that she talks loud because she is accustomed to talking that way to her husband who is hard of hearing.

Everyone has a shortcoming and faults. No one is perfect. I know my best friend has faults as does my boyfriend, but I do as well. Our shortcomings make up part of who we are, we'd be different people if we didn't have our shortcomings. There are things that my best friend and boyfriend do that I don't like or agree with, but they are my best friends so I don't let that effect how I feel about them.

I can't exactly pinpoint what it is. At this time I am going through this where I have changed my life and had a wake up call, but my best friend hasn't. I don't want to be around all the negativity anymore so we just don't talk. I think that your friends change over the years because you change.
