well, if you are not considering the dates, i recommend u to watch Japanese and Korean horror films. The old ones are even better. Have you seen Shutter (Asian version)? It's pretty scary. Also, check out The Ring or The Grudge. There are American films that i like too, check out The Others, Poltergeist, and Exorcist. Well, i don't know if I've been really so much scared at least once in my life. Funny thing whenever I watch horror films, is that I end up laughing than getting nightmares once the lights are closed and I'm off to bed.

the saw series is good for gore, but not a scare. its more of a gross out. for pyschological horror, hide and seek with robert dinero and dakota fanning is good. texas chainsaw is good. the remake and the original. the messangers scared me pretty bad.

If you don't care about the date they were made and if you are only looking for a movie that is good in quality and really scary. I suggest getting the movie called The Excorsist of emily rose. That scared me so bad.

The Saw movies are scary. Ive been waiting all year for the 5th one to come out. I cannot wait. I will be the first one in the line to buy tickets! If you have no yet watched the Saw movies, 1-4 so far, rent them and watch them. Theyre amazing and a lot of thought went into these movies. Its so worth it. I hope I have helped. Good luck.
