I have a 13 year old pekingese that just recently started having problems with his back side and legs. It's more in his right leg then his left. It's like his body doesn't want to follow him as he walks. At first his feet slid out from under him real bad, but now if he's on carpet or concret something his feet grip a bit, he doesn't do bad. Plus he stinks all the time. I'm always giving him bathes. I feel so sorry for him. He doesn't hurt anywhere and nothing feels out of place. Any ideas. I thought he may have had a stroke. He is coping with it fine, I feel so bad for him but I don't even think a doctor could help him. If he was hurting, I would have to try, since he's not. We are trying to help him out.

Poor guy. I wonder if he's got trouble with his knees? I know that a lot of small dogs have knee troubles that get worse with age. Either way, it stinks that he's having trouble and I'm glad he doesn't seem like he's in any pain. Hopefully, he doesn't get any worse.

If it wasn't for seeing him slipping and sliding around when trying to run you'd think he was just fine. He doesn't act any different. Gets mad because I keep giving him oatmeal bathes all the time. His skin is real oily and the vet says I can bathe him every other day. He hates bathes, then we have the stray cat we look out for that keeps giving him fleas. He's my baby, won't stay in one spot too long, has to be where ever I am. barb
