What A Cutie

glad you enjoy the feeding of the lions. i find it gross. but i do enjoy the peguins. they are very entertaining and i'd like to have some outside our window to watch.

Oh yes, I have been to zoos at feeding time. I find it interesting also to find out and see what some animals eat. The zoo that we used to go to when we lived in the north eastern part of Texas the one in Tyler,Tx. We also lucked out one time and was there to see a baby rhino make it's first trip outside, they had the baby and momma out and it was so cute. I guess the animal I find the prettiest at the zoo are the white tigers.

Aww...it looked so cute and cuddly. I don't think I'd want to be the one cuddling it though. I don't have a big enough life insurance policy. I don't think I've seen workers feeding animals at the zoo, but it has been a long time since I have been there. Of course during the dolphin show they feed the dolphins to get them to do tricks, but I don't think that is what you're talking about. : )

Goodness, it's been such a long time since I've been to a zoo. The only real decent zoo in the NYC area is the Bronx Zoo, and haven't been there since I was a wittle kid...LOL..I do remember it took ages to get there by subway, like three hours, so we didn't go often. I'm glad you, your wife and the grandkids had fun there. Maybe one day, I'll get going to that Zoo again

I imagine they eat alot of meat. I've never seen lions getting fed but I think I saw elephants or some other animals getting fed. It's been awhile. I really like oing to zoos. It's great for kids. It's not a zoo, but I really like watching the animals in Busch Gardens. They have a pretty natural habitat and they have some cool animals there. The wolves and small critters put on a show for us last time we were there. I guess they are habituated to man but their habitat is natural looking.

That is awesome that you and your wife took your grandson to the zoo. I like all animals at the zoo I think their absolutely amazeing. Yes I have watched them eat and some of them are cute and funny watching how they eat especially the monkeys. I went to one and I was amazed that they had wolves 2 of them and I am a wolf lover. I stood there in awwwww watching them I took alot of photo's I wish I could put them on here but no equipment to do that here. But I had so much fun I didn't want to leave when it was time to go. That picture you took of the african lion that's a nice one he looks so rested just laying there. Glad to hear you enjoyed your time hope you can do it again sometime soon.

Last time I was there the poor Lion sounded sick. We are guessing mabey it was hungry. But the sounds were awful. It let a few normal roars which could be heard thru the whole zoo easily.

My sisters and I did a day at Como a couple of years ago. We had so much fun! I love the conservatory too. We didn't see the feeding of the animals but they do have a very good variety!

Hi GRANDPA BOB! I have seen African Lions in the zoo and although I find them scary, they still look cute and wish to hug them. But of course, I won't even dare! haha..I have seen animals being fed in the zoo and it is fun to see them eating. We were also being allowed to feed some animals such as the elephant, gorilla and the birds. Fun to do it but I get scared to get too close to them. haha.. Take care and god Bless!

I have not been to a zoo in ages and all I can see about wild animals is what is shown on tv. The incident about the tiger mauling which killed two a few months ago was really terrible.

hi grandpa bob yes we used to go to the prentiss zoo quite often when our kids were little, I loved to watch them at feeding 'time . Its very interesting too. I remember how interested myson was with the cheetahs and how interested the c heetah was in looking at this little six year old boy, I think he was thinking ohmy what a juicy meal that kid would make. lol. I pulled him back before he tried to stick his hand throught the fence. lol.

You my Friend have some Very Awesome Pictures! I am amazed at some of them I have seen! I love to look at the Big Cats. Must have been wonderful to see them up close! I have seen them eat only on television. If I have ever been to the Zoo, i was too young to remember it. I hope to go soon!

I have been there once at feeding time. They announced it over the intercom so we went over to watch. It was pretty interesting. I love the lions and tigers too. I think my favorite though is the polar bear.

wow...This is very huge Grandpa, I have seen once in my Country and he was not as huge as this..That time, when we got there, he was hungry and been moaning so loud! LOL! It's scary really, when I will imagine how if they can escape from the cage! LOL!

I have seen them give tigers a snack at the Tacoma zoo last March. It was neat when they know the keeper was coming up to feed them. The tiger got so excited and was calling to the keeper. I love to look at the big cats, I think they are very pretty.

animals are all cute. lions and other wild cats look like huge house cats. i havent been to a zoo in a long time...i feel to old for the zoo...

Oh these are my favorite animals to see at the zoo, the big cats. Back at Easter time, in April, we took all the boys to the zoo, and I took some pictures of the tigers. I think they are so pretty, but it must of been just after feeding time, because most of the animals were all sleeping somewhere. I did get a picture of the tiger, and I wanted to get some of the Lions but they weren't outside, you could hear them growling behind the wall, and they were loud, but couldn't see them. I was sad...I wanted more pics...

I have watched the animals being fed and i did enjoy it. It was fascinating to watch the different habits each have. My favorite animals that i could watch for hours on end is of course the monkeys (any kind).
