Soon, the government will be forcing us to save energy with the exclusive use of florescent lightbulbs. They are known to aggravate migraine headaches in those who already suffer from the suckers. The way to avoid the migraines with out violating the law and using old style bulbs that don't last long is to cover the nasties with lampshades. That is what I did with the two in my bedroom. * I had a second reason, outside of the upcoming law, of adding the new lightbulbs to my bedroom fixtures. The fixture is almost nine feet up off the ground. Very hard for me to reach, and you don't need to change florescent lightbulbs very often. * There are fluorescents in different shapes. They don't all look like round corkscrews. Some are round and fit in lamps that are exclusively designed for round bulbs.

Well, I am always for things that might help save some Energy, or money on our Power Bills, but since I also suffer from Migraine headaches, and some months they are worse than others, I am not for something that would make them worse, and hope they will consider Health issues such as this before making something like this law as well. But you never know, a lot of times, things come to pass and then have to be removed due to safety, so I guess only time will tell.

For me, it was falling on my ahem and busting something or saving energy and putting a shade on the lightbulbs. I chose the energy savings and the lamp shades.
