Resolving 'Unresolved Discussions'

I recall reading a post somewhere where someone was talking about 'unresolved discussions' and I did not have a clue what that meant. The new layout shows an unresolved discussions tab which I had not noticed on the last layout and yeah, I did not get to that part of the FAQ Anyway, I have set to resolve these unresolved discussions today so a few myLotters may get some BRs today I can now understand why people prefer to give Best Responses quickly as this involves going through old discussions again.. and it is hard to give best responses for some. Do you resolve all your discussions? Is there any known advantage for doing this?

you're welcome! I have done most of mine but still have 4 out of the 9 pages left. It is easier to pick a BR for those with less responses, No work to be done on those with no responses

I didn't know about them until the new layout either. I have been trying to go back through mine, but it is taking some time. I have set a goal to have them resolved within 24 hours from now on. Hopefully it will work. Everyone likes to get a best response to something.

I think I'll do the same, resolve within the first few days before they pile up. I have resolved the ones I could and hadn't started any new discussions till its done, still earned a few cents just doing that..

i didnt know about them either until i read a comment from a veteran about two months ago about BR's ... So, what i did then was resolved what I can..And only a week ago, my unresolved are piling up so I took a break from starting discussions and instead commented and gave BRs to those who deserved them. And now, they are piling up again...

Hi marina, I did that yesterday and I dropped 4 points in my ratings (posted a discussion about that) and lost 5 points in my total. I really don't know what's going on! I have gone out of my way to comment in the discussions that I start, comment with thought on my friends discussions, give good ratings on others comments and I don't know what I did wrong. I posted my discussion this morning and have no responses! So I'm totally confused and upset. I do think that finishing discussions by giving a br is the right thing to do. If you start something it is only right to finish. I'm sorry if I'm sounding a bit off today. As I said I'm a bit upset. I guess I take things a bit too personally.

You haven't done anything wrong. Just because someone doesn't like your opinion on something, they may mark you down, I wouldn't be surprised if some are doing it spitefully and may continue to do it.. Just ignore it and don't let it get to you.

All my discussions are unresolved and I am not sure of how to resolve them. If rating a response as best response, then I shall be rating them soon. Please inform me if you get the benefits of resolved discussions.
