HI guys! The process of microdermabrasion in its simplest terms is taking out old skin and brining out the new--in the gentlest manner. I saw a Pond's kit tonight and I am tempted to buy. It cost P1300 (pesos), around 30$, but at least, that is a single purchase and may last up to several uses. Unlike diamond peel. the only different is the diamond Tip. What is diamond peel? Diamond Peel is a gentle yet effective microdermabrasion resurfacing treatment that uses a diamond tip to help desquamate (whatever that means) dead cell layers and age spots, eliminating signs of sun damage, smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles and making shallow scars disappear. They say this treatment takes about 20 minutes and can be done once a week. If your derma offers free facial with it, then the process may take longer. Gee, I dunno if I can afford it once a week. And if I can, if I am willing to shell out that much money weekly. Or even monthly for that matter. Maybe when I am earning several hundreds of dollars a month... For now, I think that the POnds kit will do for me...I need to prep myself up because I am attending a wedding and we will have family pictures taken. hehehe oh i mean, a wedding in the family... good day all and God bless you! :)

Although I am not familiar with the diamond peel method, I doubt that it would be the kind of process that would remove a tatoo. The only thing that I have heard about that removes tatoos is a laser tatoo removal process. Tatoos apparently go really deep -- that is why they are permanent and do not slough off like an artificial tan that just colors the surface skin and needs to be replaced often.

They say microdermabrasion helps with stretch marks and scars too. Does the Ponds kit do that as well? And what are the contents of the kit? Is it a one time investment?

it does just sound like a fancy and expensive term for exfoliating to me.

My sister used the Ponds kit and it worked really well for her. She now swears by it!
