If this fact ever needed reiterating I believe this next article makes a good case for it. In one of the debates during this primary season Obama touted his intention to raise capital gains taxes of the "wicked" rich. He was then informed by all who were there that the lowering of the capital gains tax had brought MORE revenue in to the government. Barack then shrugged his shoulders and said (get this) I will raise it anyway because it is the fair thing to do! He would do something he believes to be "fair" even to the detriment of the nation? Just how arrogant can you get? This next article outlines some of the policies Obama plans to adopt and just how they will impact an already over-taxed nation!

1. Where are you quoted "wicked" from? The word doesn't appear in the article you cite.
2. Your source is clearly biased; it's conservative by self-admission. It's sensationalism that cites nothing but more conservative sources. If you want some real, unbiased information on Obama's tax plan, let's see what tax experts say about it. The following link contains tax experts' preliminary analysis of both candidates' tax plans, comparing and contrasting them. Let's see if you're willing to truly educate yourself:

ClarusVisum,
So you really expect me to take something written at a "blogspot" site seriously? ANYBODY can write ANYTHING in their blog! Change it's content daily and do with it what they will! I don't expect a liberal democrat to believe anything I write or say but when the time comes, just so I don't have to look you up and say it then, I'll say it now. I told you so!

"ClarusVisum, So you really expect me to take something written at a "blogspot" site seriously?"
Maybe you ought to actually, I don't know, READ the link for 15 seconds before mouthing off and making yourself look like a total moron. Fact of the matter is, that blog entry of mine is a short description that LINKS to the actual analysis, which was done by tax experts and hosted on www.taxpolicycenter.org.
Imbecile. That's what happens when you let prejudice take the place of reason.

Fairness but what is fairness, completely an opinion of the beholder. Is it fair that 10% of America pays 70% of all federal taxes? Is it fair that the bottom 1/5 for every one dollar gets back $8.17 in government services? Is it fair that one is punished just because they decided to become successful? Why is success punished it this country so much? Government services have to be paid by someone, so if one wants more government services one needs more wealthy people. No one on food stamps pays for it, so to with social security. People on those services depend on the wealthy of this country creating more wealth.

The problem with success is that it does not fit with socialism. That is why so many liberal policies are aimed at redistribution of wealth. If the liberal agenda is successful, the nation and most of it's people will certainly be worse off.
Successful companies provide jobs, raise standards of living and result in charity toward others. Successful people are an incentive to encourage others to strive for the best. With socialism, all but a few are reduced to the same level - so what is their to aspire to?

Gewcew,
Great comment! This fact is a subject avoided like the plague by liberals pointing fingers at the "decadent" wealthy people who make "too much money" and need to penalized because they are so successful! It's as if the liberals believe that for these people to have gotten so successful they had to make hundreds of people poor! Rediculous!

Djbtol,
Thanks for the comment! What really scares the life out of me is that his dedecated supporters seem blind to what the effects of his proposals will have on our nation!

I don't know, I consider deregulation that allows the American people to be gouged by artificially inflating the price of oil to be a little more unamerican.
I consider shrinking the middle class to be more unamerican.
I consider bailing out corporations who got into the bad position by giving out tons of loans without caring about the ability for them to be paid back, instead of bailing out the Americans who are being foreclosed on because of rising prices, and no fault of their own, more unamerican.
Just because they're the middle class doesn't mean the government should give them the middle finger. THAT is what's unamerican. Rewarding corruption and punishing hard honest work is what got us into this mess, and the only thing people like you are doing is trying to keep it that way by calling anyone who wants to fix it "anti-American". It's sickening.
