Would you do this?

The last time I went to walmart with my mother we picked up some school supplies. We had a sale slip that they were having a really good deal on some of there school supplies. So that is really the main reason we went in there.
They were suppose to have spiral notebooks for 5 cents. So we were going to grab some because both of my sisters go back to school in September. I start school in October.
Well they were all out of the spiral notebooks. When we got up to the cashier she told us that they didn't have a limit on it and that some people were grabbing so many that they could barely carry them. That they were just stacking them up so high they could barely carry them.
What do you think of that? Would you do that? Does that make you angry or could you care less?

Hi o2bnocn,
Maybe they are also doing a business since it's so cheap and help them to earn a little if they are going to sold it..LOL!
Or maybe they are giving it as agift to all relatives who will be going back to school..LOL!
I have no relatives here so no chance I will be doing that but back in my Country, I always bought a lot for cousins and relatives!

I would be annoyed that I would have to go somewhere else, but I wouldn't be put off by it. Some people have quite a few kids and may need a lot of notebooks. Plus, I know there are better sales at other places! (Walmart has folders for .88, Office Depot has them for .01!)

I wouldn't be surprised that they would sell out of them at that price. I'm sure someone stocked up then resold and turned a nice little profit. Wal-mart should set limits on things like that when the prices are so low, otherwise this sort of thing is going to continue to happen.

I'm one of those people, except I only bought $1.00 dollars worth of the 5 cent notebooks. I have 4 kids in school and they had tons of them, they still do have some here at our wal-mart. so when there's no limit on them, they do go very quickly. I wouldn't buy to many that I don't need or might get stuck with, but in the past I have bought quite a few things and had extra and what wasn't used I donated for other kids to have for their school days. so either way it works for me.I usually know when to go in for the sales, and I know at least a month or 2 before school starts is when they do have their sales going on, so if you can get in before your doing really well. but yes sometimes it does upset me, but there's other stores I can shop at, and if I have to pay a little more then no problem.

Omg, I was at walmart when they were putting the 5 cent notebooks out and as she was putting them on the shelf another lady was taking them right off and into her cart.
She had a cart filled with just notebooks like litterally all the way to where they were slidding out of the cart.
I was staring at her funny so then she told me how she did it for charity for the children that couldn't afford school
The of corse she did not fail to mention that she was getting $80 worth of 5 cent notebooks! So i hurried and grabbed one before the lady got to the shelf.
