Do you believe people like James VanPraagh-psychic mediums?

James VanPraagh is a psychic medium. James is a Co-Executive Producer on the hit show Ghost Whisperer and is very well known and had done a number of his own shows.
I've watched a few of his shows and I love Ghost Whisperer. I had dvr'd a Dr. Phil show with James VanPraagh on it. It probably aired a few months back. I'm a little behind. 
It was very interesting and I see him doing these kinds of things alot. He is able to hear and talk to dead people. He can tell if one of your loved ones that is deceased is around you and how they are doing and tell you if they have something to tell you. I would love to talk to him about my mom and dad who are both deceased.
What do you thing about this? Is he real? Is he fake?
