You should start with listening to some Armin Van Buuren. He is the world's no1 dj at the moment - 2 years running, so that should be a great introduction for you. Then you can move on to other djs like Tiesto etc. Another good way would be to listen to a few shows hosted by Armin Van Buuren, called A State of Trance. If you don't get this show on radio, a quick online search would point you in the right direction. This show is great because he plays lots of mixes by different artists, and will get you acquainted with this genre.

well a good suggestion is start in i tunes and get some trance podcasts. i recommend Tiestos club life and things like that

You can start listening to Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance weekly radio show and you will found many great tracks there! ASOT is also downloadable in torrents. (I'm not sure whether it's legal or not)

You should check out http://Di.FM You can dounload & listen to FREE trance, vocal trance, hardhouse, tribal, progressive, goa, etc. Most of the stuff is taped, but after 12am est you can catch live sets from you favoite DJ's + its worldwide so you will get a sweet taste of different styles from all over the place. I would recomend Scooter, Tiesto, anything with the trance vocalist Tiff Lacey & Jan Johnston, ATB, Headstrong, Matt Darey, Mr. Pit, Decoy & Roy, Ron Van Den Beuken, Arrmin Van Burren, FC Kchuna, Blank & Jones, Hiver & Hammer.
