what old wives tale have you found to be so untrue?

well the majority of them are untrue, like....
if you step over a crack it will cause the umbilical cord to wrap around your babies neck.
if you get heart burn it means your baby is going to have a lot of hair
if you carry high it's a boy, and if you carry low it's a girl.
there's more but i can't think of any right now, so what kind of wives tales did you hear when pregnant and they turned out false?

The heatburn one was definitely falso for me! I had lots of heartburn and lots of bald babies! I did carry my girls different than all but one of my boys though so I think that can be true to a point but it's different for every mother...some might carry their girls low and their boys high, others might carry them all more in the middle but look like a basketball with boys and a watermelon with girls -that's was how I was except for with my youngest son.
