For supper tomorrow you are going to cook something quite different,a new recipe that you have not tried before. The ingredients are pretty expensive,so you have been shopping around for the bargains. On the way to the supermarket you saw a bush of Thyme growing in the garden in front of a house, you could easily reach it,and pick a few bits and that would save you buying a bunch.Would you have the guts to pinch some?

Hi ruby, I will as long as it is not located in private property..LOL! I have the guts to do that... I actually grew up doing that in our Country...We used to get jack fruit, mangoes, and any other vegetable in an area which is public! And everyone in the community are doing it..LOL! That is very practical and imagine the money we can save!

It would all depend on the position of the thyme bush.If it was reasonably out of site, then the temptation to pick those fewbits could be a big one.I mean who wants to buy a whole bunch o thyme whe you are amybe going to use a few leaves, and who the heck is going to miss a few leaves?so I would say if the bush is out of sight and in reach, then I would more than likey be very tempted.

I see your train of thought there Ella...its all to do with position!

I'd be tempted if it was growing over the fence over the street I might well pinch a bit. But if I were that desperate I think that I'd ring the doorbell and ask if I might have a cutting. I had an aunt that liked to "trim" overhanging bushes etc for hr garden. In every other respect she was as law abiding as could be. But she couldn't help herself with shrubs etc.

What's the dish anyway. Sounds Lamby.

No, but I have an older son who would be more than happy to do it for me, or failing that my hubby definately would. Or failing that I would go and knock on the door and ask if I could have some for a few pence!
