Last week a storm blew down tow bigs limbs from my neighbor's tree onto my property. One on the garage and on into the yard. No damage that I know of. Whose responsibility is it to clean it up? Thanks in advance

Ohh but wait, if there is any sort of damage, and his property insurance is involved, then the insurance company should inspect first. Otherwise there is no coverage. And, Depending on where you live, it might not be his, or your responsibility. It might be the city. If the tree fell on your property it might be both of your responsibility, because contractually, I cant hire someone to work on your property. And It is an act of god. not neglect. Tough situation. I know that if my tree fell in my neighbors yard that We both would be out cleaning it up.

Tough situation, I know. I was originally ready to just help get it cleaned up. I had not talked with the neighbor yet. My renter mentioned it to him. His response to her was, "It ain't part of my tree anymore." Then he walked back into his house. That's pretty rude and arrogant if you ask me. After that, my thoughts were to cut it and stack it in his back yard but I know that would just be the "guy" in me speaking and would just cause more issues. I think i will just go cut up what is hanging on my property and leave the rest. he can deal with any damage that may occur to his property then. Sticky situation

That was not nice. What kind of person does that? Hopefully, all of your interactions are not this unpleasant. If it were me, I would clean the tree up, and make him a plate of cookies. Yup, cookies. I would take those cookies over to him with a lovey note. ..For My Gracious Neighbor, It was so selfless of you to share your tree with me, and then to take the time to moniter the tree to make sure that it didnt go anywhere until I had time to clean it up. I am quite sure that you had better things to do, and I just wanted to make sure that you knew how much I appreciated your efforts. In this time and day, I just dont know what we would do without neighbors like you.... One Greatful, and Appreciative Neighbor.

That is a hilarious solution to my problem. It is really something that I might end up doing. Just to see the reaction on his face would be pricelss:) I'll let you know if I do it:)
