Just looking for some ideas on what a good gift would be for a 2 year anniversary. My husband has everything he could want and I don't know what to get for him! Plus, we're on a budget since I'm not currently working. What's the best and most meaningful anniversary gift you've received (or heck...just a gift in general from your significant other)? Or what gifts have you given that went over especially well?

I have think I might have some good ideas for you in the IMBL archives :) http://www.itmightbelove.com/category/gift-ideas-guides/ Best of all, most of them are inexpensive/free! My hubby always tells me his favorite thing is when I take him out to dinner and a movie...but like you he's the one that's working & with the money, so can't really do that, lol :) Let me know if you need any other ideas, I'm sure I can come up with something :)

open the cage, let hime go .. have mercy on hime atleast free him for just one day...:) lolz that was a joke . hey congradulation for completing two years i wonder it would have been a rememberable two years. i think you both should spend the night together and wear your weeding dresses and feel like you just gotten married and have a nice time.. that's a great gift for each other.

That's a wonderful idea! I bet my dress is all wrinkled from being in the dress bag for 2 years, haha. Never thought of that though

Might be late but you could do a search on mylot as there have been several discussions on anniversary gifts. I've noticed the search bar for the site is working much better than before (I guess these newfangled changes are worth something...) Anyways if you are on a budget, maybe just spend the day with him on a date, that should be understandable. Small items you could get, perhaps a watch, or maybe a pocketwatch (and with the latter you can get a circular photo/print-image and put it on the inside cover of the watch). For a 2nd year anniversary the traditional gift is cotton (so clothing could work), and the modern gift is china(but some stick with cotton).

Well, this year for my birthday my husband was out of work so we didn't have much money at all. He went and bought a couple of steaks and when I got home from work, he had dinner waiting for me, candles and all. Since he is not much of a cook, this was really special (and delicious by the way!). He also got a beautiful card for me and added a heartfelt message inside the card. It was the best gift he's ever given me. My suggestion would be to just take the time to really let him know how you feel about him - you don't have to spend a lot of money to do this and after all, your anniversary should be about celebrating your marriage not about the gifts you give.

Awww, how sweet of your husband to do this! I can't imagine my hubby cooking for me, unless it's Ramen noodles :) But I love him. And you're right, it's about the marriage, not about monetary gifts. Thanks for you input!
