why do ASIAN consider RICE as a major part of the MEAL?

are you an Asia, or have you ever been at ASIA? do you have any idea or opinion? why do ASIAN prefer to eat rice three times a day in every single day of their lives?
is it because of the culture or because of the taste? you got some idea? what do you think?

it all about tradition and culture my friend, they consider it as the only meal, they dont consider bread and pasta dishes as meal......

There is an increased in rice price in the market here but we are really rely on this rather than bread so as much as possible we then save money just for the rice. If we did not eat rice in the morning, I think after one or two hours we can feel hungry already and we need to have some bread or other foods again.Unlike rice, we can eat in the morning without a snacks then eat in the noon then on the evening.
