When we do shopping before we never care about the price as long as we like it.But now as the price increases we started to become frugal. When i shop for myself i usually chose those that were on sale. Its good to spend wisely now.

yes the increase in food prices has definitely affected the way i shop. i used to just grab whatever i feel like without looking at the price. nowadays i will look at the price and try to compare between places. i'll also see if there are suitable alternatives that will fit my budget better. if there are sale items, i'll try to include them in my meal planning. the prices are increasing so much faster than my salary that i really have to be careful in my spending. cheers ;p

Yes. Prices these days are just unaffordable. I even wonder how people coming from low income families manage to have good food due to this price hike. I think it will also affect our nutrition if we just count on our money. We still need to consume some good food that are essential, even though they are costly.

Actually, we are not having a lot of problems with food prices. We buy a really good store brand that they sell ure that is about a half the price of the big brands, and actually twice as good, if you can believe it. Also, we're in Canada, and my husbnad is paid in American dollars, so that helps too.

I agree with it's very hard to budjet the same shopping money we have before. I't's global and everyone is hurt, especially people who are jobless.maybe the rich only who don't feel it.

I have noticed absolutely no change in prices here in Canada. Market prices here are outstanding anyway, even though native Canadians complain about them. I have discovered the prices on food to be equivalent or 2/3 the prices I had in the U.S. (real butter - $4.00CAD, $3.15USD/lb, milk -- $4.00CAD, $3.15USD/gal, Lean Ground beef -- $3.00CAD, $2.37USD/lb). Monthly food shopping for my wife and I runs an average $150CAD every month and we eat very well.
