There is a song called sunscreen and a part of its lyrics said - do not read beauty magazines, it will only make you feel ugly. Do you agree? I have thought of asking this question because i have a couple of beauty magazines right now and i think beauty magazines can't be that bad. Although it is true that women that are featured in the pages of a glossy beauty/fashion magazines are really gorgeous. Gosh everything about them just seems so perfect but even if they can make you feel quite inferior, you will also learn to mimic their styles or well be served as a good model in fashion and style. Besides there are well-researched articles there that are informative and useful also. So I guess beauty/fashion magazines have lots of good sides too. Do you share my views?

I read a lot of beauty magazines and I don't think they make me feel less of myself. I just like to see what's the latest trend and their beautiful faces. I think if you compare yourself with the models and stuff, then you would be really upset. But if you change your perspective and just to admire the beauty there, it would definitely open up your eye sight.

Yes I agree with you. I think beauty magazines can be a very useful tool and I get a lot of joy out of reading them. I think they can affect certain people that already feel bad about themselves and make it worse for them. If you read the magazines knowing that your good looking just the way you are and that most of the people in the magazines have flaws themselves that have just been covered up you don't really focus on how perfect they are compared to you. I know It's possible to obsess over your flaws by just turning on the TV or seeing an attractive lady walk down the street so I don't think beauty magazines should get all the blame.

Yes, I'm fond of beauty magazines. I read them cover to cover. I love the interesting information or articles written on it. I also love the photos of those beautiful women. They are great. An inspiration to me.
