can this team (ny yankees) go all the way to the top? their sruggling! with thier key players into the disabled list. thank God they still match thier longest winning streak at home! after the all star break thier unbeatble. new york is new york even if they lose, they still the MLB's most popular team, and knowing that its a last season, they want it to end with a BANG!!! is their anyone agree od disagree, how about your TEAM.

I know this discussion was started three weeks ago, but the Yankees now appear to be finished. Seven back of the division leading Rays and four games back of the wild card leading Red Sox, they don't have the pitching or health to overtake either. And add to that the fact that Boston is starting to hit again, and seem to be rejuvinated by the aquisition of Jason Bay. My prediction: Red Sox win division, Tampa wins Wild Card, White Sox win Central, Angels win West and pennant.

Anything can happen on baseball. And yes, it could happen, even tho I am an Angels fan, I know that Yankees is a team that can come back from behind and this could be one of those occasions.
But your team should be in a better shape now with their new trade, and it is a good trade.
My team is doing great and I am hoping it stays that way :D

I think they can overtake the Red Sox in the regular season but they will be out quickly in the playoffs. Their pitching will not hold up. As for winning after the all star break, they have only played at home. Things will change when they hit the road. The AL East will still have many position changes top to bottom.
