Are u one of those who thinks that your family or friends should give u gifts on your birthday? Or u say to yourself that having them with you on every walks of life is a gift in itself.. I don't expect any gifts from anyone. But just being with me to lend support and advice through my ups and downs is the greatest gift I think they can give me..

No, i don`t have any expectations from anyone.I don`t even expect them to wish me on my birthday and if they do then it is because of the goodness of their hearts and their love from me. However i always make it a point to wish them whether they expect it or not. For me, my birthday is just another day and date in the calendar which i ignore and when others wish me then it only serves to remind me that another year in my life has gone by.

I used to expect material gifts (or cash) when I was younger. As I got older, I realized that people didn't give gifts anymore unlike when I was a kid. Now that I have my own kid, I stopped expecting gifts. That way, when I do get to receive something, I feel so happy for getting something.LOL!

Even i used to expect gifts specially cash when i was young. But as i grew older i realized their importance in my life.. So having them with me is what i cherish most...CHEERS!!!

I also dont expect any gift from any of my familey member, not even from my husband. Having them next to me and them supporting me in everything in life. Even if they forget my birthday i dont feel bad. Material things are not important in life but moral and emotional support, friendship and love are important in an individual's life.

Non tangible things are more important to me rather than the tangible ones.

it really depends..if i were a child..of course im expecting gifts or surprises towards my family and friends because kids cant value a thing called friends or love or care..because they are immature and they dont know whats the meaning of birthday..compare to adults..they value the gift of friendship and family..

Nah, families do enough for you already. :) As a kid I used to expect gifts from mom and dad which every kid does actually..But now, seeing they are paying a lot for my education and have brought me up to be an independent woman, I need to get them all the gifts they want instead.

When I was younger, I would really expect gifts from family and friends during my birthday, Christmas and other holidays and celebrations. As I grew older, I realized that the gifts are not really that important. I realized that their presence and the chance that we get to celebrate important occasions together are more important.
