Share your homebrewing methods for beginners

I'm currently learning to brew my own alcohol and I've just begun to learn. I've got a test bottle or two brewing as an experiment, to see which recipes work and which don't. The thing is, I'm figuring it out as I go based solely on what I know of chemistry and how the brewing process works. So, to all those that ahve done it before, would you be willing to share your methods, recipes, etc here so that a newbie like me can do it? Once mine have finished fermenting I'll post the results here too. ^_^
