Yes, it is true. A real life astronaunt, in fact, the 6th man ever to have walked on the moon, (even has a PH.D.) is claiming UFO's are real. He says the government knows, has known for like 60 years, and is about to release the info. Here's the story. http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/story/0,23739,24069892-952,00.html I suspect this great man who has done marvelous things is regretably losing his mind. What do you say?

UFO's exist but folk that does not been little green men are flying them. Anything unidentified is an ufo. The government makes ufo's all the time, they are called experimental aircraft. Of course they are unidentifiable because the government does not want to disclose the new experimental aircraft. Maybe the USA Air Force is develop some kind of flying saucer, I do not know nor do I care.

I do have to agree there are experimental aircraft we know nothing about that could be mistaken for being from another world. I use to know a man, since deceased, who worked on the SR-71. He told me that thing was flying in the 1950's! Almost no one knew it at the time.

Out right rejection of Dr Edgar Mitchell claim can't be done,as there are lot of things which the modern science could not lay its finger upon. There are lot of mysteries that elude the thinking of Man.. So, his claim that the technology of the ET's are advanced may be true also.

I definitely agree, that given the man's credentials, his claims can not out right be rejected. He has the education, the experience, and the knowledge of the subject to make him credible, if he is not being affected by mental defect or disease, which I do suspect. Let some doctors exaimine him and declare him to still be mentally sound and we have real reason to believe UFO's do exist.

I hope they don't link the onset of senility with space travel. It would probably be the end of NASA and the space shuttle programs. These conspiracy theories seem to pop up every now and then, but is is science fiction. Perhaps he was indeed briefed but the content was concerning leads and theories of UFO existence rather than actual encounters with aliens.

It is difficult to know the truth. Myself, I don't believe the government could keep a secret for 60 years. For example, we exploded the first atomic bomb in 1945. The secret was leaked to the USSR before 5 years had passed and in fact there were spies inbedded within our program. The US government keep a secret about outter space aliens? I doubt it.
