I'm afraid of going out this year

China
July 24, 2008 9:50pm CST
Two buses exploded on Route 54 in Kunming, Yunan province, the second time this year, the first was in Shanghai. And now it is considered as terrorist attack. From the abnormal snow disaster in Southern China to the later Tiber turmoil, to railway accident, to big earthquake on May 12 etc. China is troublous this year. Besides, there're turmoil in public security, a man killed several policemen, a tempest in Guizhou Province. What on earth is wrong with China? Is it because we are going to hold 2008 olympic games? My friends and i are all afraid of going out for the rest of the year. We're in panic

Hi, lynettebyc ~ I appreciate your concerns. I think that the best you can do is to be smart and to be careful. Avoid places that might pose obvious dangers. Other than that, live your life as best and as normally as you can. Disaster can strike anyone at any time in any place. Where I live, car accidents happen all the time. This does not mean that we stop driving cars (although high gasoline prices may take care of that for us! LOL). We drive carefully. We do our best to avoid situations or places that might pose threats. But we go on with our lives. Living in fear will not make the possibility of danger go away.

Staying home more decreases the level of stress hormones in your body, so it will help with your health.
