yesterday one of our neighbors went on transfer to Calcutta they had kept a stray pup in their house as a pet for last one year...they simply abandoned the dog and went away leaving it behind..i told his wife they should take it along she said it is just a stray dog so why bother..i felt very annoyed but did not interfere...yesterday full day the dog kept whining and crying at the locked door i felt miserable and finally took him in and fed him though my husband had said not to do so...whenever i open the door it runs to the locked house and starts whining..it is so heartbreaking my eyes just fill with tears for the poor thing..how can someone be so heartless and mean...i cannot keep him because my husband has a history of Asthma and so i need to be careful about keeping a pet as long as my son turns 5 years as it is hereditary..i don't know what to do as of now i have kept him with me and i feel like slapping that couple to have been so mean..i love animals and cannot bear such cruelty...i hope God punishes them for betraying this poor creature...Do you love your pets? would you ever betray or abandon them if they are ill and old? Do you adopt stray animals? what should i do now pls advice?

hi dear people are actually heartless and ruthless...if i am not ready for a pet i would never keep one but i cannot imagine abandoning a pet...if people can nowadays abandon their own parents then what is pet for them...he is still here a my place and today (Sunday)we are going to leave him in an animal shelter so that he gets a home..my husband does not want to risk having a pet at home as our son is still very small..i hope he does well and gets a new family

Several years ago when I was working for the Wilco (A.T.Williams) convience stores, I was fixing to get off my shift & go home. A man came in & ask if anyone wanted a poodle? I wasn't looking for one but also know they can make a super pet if treated right. No one answered and I wasn't looking for one myself but he responded with Well, I guess I will take him and put him in the river which was just within walking distance. Well, that was in 1992 and he still lives today. He can't jump and play like he did then but he is one puddle named blackjack by his previous owner that our family has gotten the most enjoyment and love out of. I for one am super glad he decided to give me a dog that day. I wasn't sure what he was that day as his hair was down to the ground with all kinds of leaves in it. He was a terrible mess. He pretected me from harm as well. So you can never tell what an animal is going to be like just because there hair is all shaggy and their clothes all tattered and torn. GIVE THE ORHANS A CHANCE!

Worthless, insensitive people are the same all over. Those people will be judged for their cruelty in the afterlife. Don't you have places where strays wait for a home? We call it the Humane Society here, and have many no-kill shelters for animals. Please, keep feeding it and providing water. Even though your husband is allergic, you can provide for it but just not let it inside until you find a home for it. I feed strays all the time, the homeless kitties know there's always a meal on my front porch and even a box that they can sleep in. We don't have many stray dogs, but when we do and they have tags I call the owners. I haven't seen one without tags in this neighborhood yet. Bless you for taking pity on that poor, heartbroken animal. I hope the same thing happens to those people and I'm sure it will because everything we do, we get back many times over.

You are a very nice person, thank you for that! I am a pet lover and rescued many animals through my life. I am impossible though people will tell me not to do so and I will anyway. Ashma problems comes from diverse places, polution, dust, etc. I would say to you Keep the Dog! I do not know where you live but in USA if that happens I would call the police, newspapers, tv, lawyers, hahaha. I will do something about it! Thank you again for having such good heart!
