i was gone for four days and now i'm back! how are you all guys doing?!! i attended a training/seminar and it was boring but fun at the same time. boring but fun? the training was fun and i learned so much about it plus my co-participants were also fun (although there were times i got a little annoyed), a lot of them has a good sense of humor and there were some interesting people there too. but its boring at the same time because after each day, there were no other things to do. there's no tv, there's no radio, there's no computer! and the training center was far from town, its a waste of money to spend a lot on transport fare and then there's nothing to do in town except to eat (and we have food in the training center). no malls, no theaters. well, all in all, i had a good time off from work. it feels good to have a sort of vacation. we were like pigs being reared to be sold off after getting fat. we eat, we listen to speakers, we rest and we sleep. that was our routine for four days. its just like a vacation. but i missed the internet and i missed myLot! i'm just happy to be back!

oh no. i attended that training so that in the future, when clients asked our office about it, we can help and give assistance or if our office decided to do a project regarding that fish, we have the necessary knowledge.

That must and should be what a seminar would be. Far from the city so everybody will be present and will listen attentively to the lectures. But the lectures must be in full gear so no time and resources will turn into waste. At least youve rested and as youve said youre in vacation.

yeah. the lectures were alright, although there were lecturers who discussed so fast. good thing is, all of the lectures are given to us in a cd.

i thought you were talking about a floppy diskette in that discussion of yours? now, a cd and a diskette are different. we mostly use cd/dvd and USB in the office. floppy diskettes are obsolete.

At least you have all the lectures and no need to jot down notes. And may I add, remember the cd that you used, thats my issue on usb or diskette, so you did make use of it. Thanks again.

Oh! It looks like more imprisonment and less training - you would have a better caption for this store - life in a boarding school, or inside the big wall for four days... Lol. Anyway, thank God it is over and hopefully you will not be nominated again to attend that training program again in your lifetime.

The same happens with our newly appointed Engineer Officers, when they are deputed on training at a remote places. I know how they feel but no way.

well, its not really imprisonment. we were free to go out after each day of training. only the town is far and to the front and left of the training center are cemetaries! i'm okay with attending training, so long as the place is not that remote.

Welcome back. I also miss mylot. I have recently moved and started a new job and unfortunately I can not use the internet at the job site. So at lunch or after work I go to the local library and use their computers. They only allow use for 1 hour...bummer. I like to put thought into my responses and sometimes need more than an hour. Oh well at least I could get on today. Welcome back!

hi greenglitterturtle. at first i was okay with no tv and no computer because i had brought with me a thick pocketbook by Anne Rice. but i finished it quickly so i didn't had anything else to do with my free time. i couldn't spend it talking with other participants because we tend to lose topics easily. ^__^;; i'm just happy now that a computer is within my reach now. thanks.

My thoughts exactly! I have a few goals set for this week: reach payout (only $2.2 away), reach 4000 posts (only 70 posts away) and respond as many of the 170 discussions from my inbox

i'm only $1.02 away before i reach my payout. good luck to both of us. but i'm hoping to add more to it so that after payout, there would be some left so it would be easier for me to reach payout for the next month. as for my number of post, i just want to get past the 4100 number.

Hello secretbear, Even though it 's just four days I feel like you were missing from here for years *sad* Oh, yes! Honestly I was looking for you and few others good friends here! I am glad that you are back. You brings joy here, friend! Am I too much? By the way, I hope to hear from you more often. Well friend, start digging out again. Bet you are far behind one more time! *laughs* I am able to reduce the number of notifications into halves while you went missing! *laughs*

aw. you're lucky you are now halfway with your notifications. i'm still on a 700+ mark and its still increasing. i managed to answer more than 50 discussions last weekend but now, more notifications are coming and i'm not able to cope again because i have work. ugh. i just hope that they wouldn't be angry at me for resurfacing their old discussions.

you have a point. but i think there are people who doesn't want their old discussions to resurface. especially those discussions that are supposed to be tackled within a day only. oh anyway, i don't respond to those kind of old discussions. i select general discussions which can be discussed forever.

so you weren't that active too here kun? what's keeping you busy? the training was about induced breeding of Pangasius (a fish relative of catfish). it had to be four days because we had a practicum where we injected hormones on the fishes and we had to wait for three days and observe the hatching of the eggs.

you know catfish right? the Pangasius looks like a catfish only it has a bigger body. i think it is called "basa" in vietnam. i'm not sure. and then, it is also called giant catfish. ^__^ yeah, i've decided to stop being sad and just continue like before with my old self. i may still have feelings for him but i'm gonna take it lightly from now on. i wouldn't be so down about it.

And I am glad to see that you are back. It seems to me that lately a lot of members are back from somewhere so I guess it also has to do with the nice weather. I think that now that summer is in midstream and we are having some really hot days, some people don't want to be outside and are in their houses so they are back posting in mylot. I am glad to see it as I have been pretty active for the last 2 months or so and I have hardly seen any of my friends here for some time and so now it looks like they are back because they are responding to my discussions I started , like 2 months ago and more recently. For awhile there I as getting a little worried because no one was responding to my discussions or commenting on my responses so I thought maybe I ws too boring. I am glad to see a lot of my friends lately and you are one of them.

What kind of place is that? Where? It is so hard to live the life you are not used to , good thing you came back. And it is good to know that your company take care of everything for their employee to participate in a training or seminar. Where in the world was your training centre. Its hard to get a place now in this world without these basic facilities.
