Do you expect the number of responses you may get while starting a discussion?

There are lots and lots of discussions that are started in a day at mylot. I'm really surprised to see tons of discussions being started in a day. When you start a discussion, do you ever have a pre-plan or expectation about the number of responses you will get? You may feel it as an interesting topic and post it. Do you have any expectation about the number of responses that you may get?

Hi, When I start a new discussion at MyLot, I really have no idea how many responses I might get. I've started some discussions that I thought would generate a lot of interest and responses and then received none. I've also started discussion that I just want some answers or view on that I didn't think I would get much response on and I was flooded with replies. Who knows? It just depends who is on MyLot that day and type of people that are browsing. Happy MyLotting, Char

I won't do it if I only want to find an answer to my question, but if it is really a interesting topic,of course I expect it will attract many people to respond.

I never have any idea.sometimes I post something off the top of my head that Id like to discuss and expect barely any responses and get a significant amount of responses, other times I post something really inportant to me, very well thought of, and I expect to get alot of responses but get almost none! who knows.I am happy thou and grateful for any and all responses I get as almost everyones opinion can help in some way.

Not really most of the time I post I am just trying to get something off my mind. Once I post it it is off I am just happy that one person cares to respond.

Of course, the more the better.:-) But the problem is , there are so many discussions started every minute, some of your posts may be ignored, and this shall be very disappointing.
