Obama's speech in Germany was ok and personally,i think he talked onbehalf of his Country on what he thinks will favour the Country and the whole of the Europe as a whole.Probably the whole world as well, anybody could have done exactly that on behalf of her Country and it doesn't necessarily means that the speech is meant only for president. What do you think about this?1 person likes this

I believe Barack Obama's speech in Germany was amazing. It was so good to see American flags being waved as opposed to being burned.
It shows how much Europe wants America to come to it's senses and join the world community as partner instead of a adversary.
In my opinion, people don't hate Americans, the dislike our policies, especially "Cowboy Diplomacy".

Yes, i like people who are after peace,i told someone sometimes ago,i think in 1999 that Rev. Jesse Jackson came to the American Church in Paris and preached about peace.
He was so angry,he condermed him immediately and said they are all bad people who cover up their dirty garments and come to talk in the public.
Well, today i can see what the guy himself is doing,i am very sure even if Jesse Jackson is that bad, he wouldn't have done what this guy is doing,i can be very sure Jesse Jackson doesn't beat his wife anyway! I hope this guy will change is wicked ways
and turn around to make peace where he's wrong and stop covering up.

I agree with those who think it was an amazing speech and that it sure is nice to see someone from the U.S. being received warmly instead of with contempt and sneers. I also don't see why the speech he gave should be reserved for a President to give. McCain recently gave speeches in both Columbia and Canada but now he's criticizing Obama for speaking in Germany. Another double standard for the "Double Talk" Express.

Thank you for the anology. It's ok for McCain to speak in Columbia and Canada, but it's treason for Barack Obama to speak in Germany.
There is a double standard when it comes to Barack Obama. Do you remember when Barack Obama accused President Bush of launching a "false political attack" with a comment about appeasing terrorists and radicals.
Barack interpreted the remark as a slam against him but the White House denied that Bush's words were in any way directed at Obama, who has said as president he would be willing to personally meet with Iran's leaders and those of other regimes the United States has deemed rogue.
In a speech to Israel's Knesset, Bush said: "Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along.
This is much worse than the speech given by Barack Obama in Germany with people waving the American flag instead of burning it.

You're quite welcome! Anything about McCain that isn't absolute praise is in short supply here, I'm afraid. He was a war hero, a POW, which I respect him for and certainly appreciate his service to our country. However, that was one time in his life, a few short years relatively speaking and I don't think it means nothing else that he's done since matters. What he said about Obama being willing to lose a war to win an election was the same as accusing him of treason but people think that was fine for McCain to say that.

He gave a delivered speech that was well written and well delivered. It was delivered before a group that was drawn by a free concert and a chance to see a celebrity. It is unfortunate that he is still learning how to be a world. You don't go to a foreign country and criticize your own country. You don't have a private conservation with another world leader and then com out and publicly talk about what you discussed. You don't ignore wounded soldiers because it might look bad politically. Senator Obama has a lot to learn and the Leader of the free world is not the place to learn. There is more to being a President than delivering a good speech.

It was a weak attempt to bolster his lack of foreign policy knowledge and experience. He declined visiting wounded soldiers in Germany after he discovered that the media would not be allowed to accompany him. His excuse of course was that he didn't think it was appropriate to visit them on a campaign trip. I'm sure he would have felt it was appropriate if the media and news anchors were allowed to accompany him there.

Ok, he went to Europe, gave a great speach, yadda yadda yadda. Big deal. Your right, alpha, anyone could have done this. The speach itself was fraught with negativity about his own country however. to stand on another soil and say what he said in some points makes him nothing more than an apeaser and an apologist. I fail to see th point of it at all, the people of Germany aren't voting for this man and all the people here at home saw was just another politician who can make a great speach and do nothing to serve his own people.
