No body can really be the "best" writer. All we can do is try our hardest. We all have our favorite authors, we could argue forever about which is best and which stinks. However, in the end, we really can't come to a conclusion. There will always be someone who is "better". Then, all we can do is learn from them and become..."better"

Originality in thinking and the urge to express something. The rest is just a means. You have to master a language in which you would express what you want to, but it is urge, the desire that holds the sway. And one thing more, you will never become a good writer by trying to be one. Try to write good creations.

A writer learns by writing, and will write as much as possible. A good writer needs a basic knowledge of grammar and should have a certain amount of skill for developing their own style of writing. A writer can increase their vocabulary and improve their style by reading and studying the works of other writers. A good writer doesn't need to have formal training or qualifications but a good education will help. A writer must want to communicate effectively and should have a great love of the written word and of the language they write in.

Well, even until now I don't know who's the best writer in the world. J.R.R tolkien is a good writer, John Grisham, Sophie Kinsella, Stephen King, Paulo Coelho and Mitch Albom are good writers, but I can decide who's the best among them. They are writing in some different genres, so first, you should decide, what kind of writer do you want to be? What genres do you like best?
