Here's a shot of a few of the tomatoes I got from my yard here in Minnesota Friday afternoon. dad & I each had a big one as a snack after lunch. Plain with a little salt for me and no salt on dads. These will be eaten Saturday during breakfast more than likely. Have you eaten any of your tomatoes yet? If so where are you located? If not are yours turning red yet? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I'm sooo jealous!! I'm ready for my tomatoes to get ripe. They are full of green ones and it seems like it is taking them FOREVER to ripen. We've already gotten cucumbers and zucchini and some okra and I think my greenbeans are ready to be picked but those darn tomatoes are still green!!!! So you enjoy them and I will continue to wait. I'm in the midwest by the way...but got a late start planting my garden. :(

I can't grow tomato since I am living in certer of a city. But I allways buy tomotes from market. I usually have tomotoes and cucumbers as breakfast or supper (mainly). They taste well and are good to our health, tomotoes are enriched with vitamin C. They are very suitable to friends who want to or need go on a diet. Believe me, I have beening using this method for days and still using now, and got a satisfactory result. Have a try now, you may lose weight in the near future.

Well, Grandpa! I would recall my memory some twenty tears back whilst my dad had some farming land in nearby town and seasonal crops were cultivated there. Sometimes, nearby empty fertile piece of agri land was left for vegitables and there, being little kids, we used to visit with dad. Yes, we enjoyed colecting the fresh vegitables and of course the tomatoes too. Ahh! the days have gone now and the life is much busy than ever. Nice to have your discussion making me remembering the oldy days :) Thanks

I have to buy my tomatoes from the store. I do not have a garden and I bought a couple of blueberry plants and planted them in the compost so that is the extent of the garden. i have a friend who has a big garden and she might give me some. If I get a lot, I usually make them into spaghetti sauce or have them in salads or on hamburgers and I might make salsa out of some of them. I live in Winnipeg, MB and we have not gotten the local ones yet.

I'm going to make Mom something special I read about for breakfast tomorrow. A slice of tomato on some parmesan/basil bread, baked in the oven and sprinkled with basil and mozzarella cheese. Oh, if I only liked tomatoes, that sounds so good! Maybe I'll try it, myself!

That sounds so good right about now Grandpa Bob. I want some but need to go to the store and get them to have for no garden hereI so can't wait for the day that I can have my own garden like you have. For now I just have to settle with what the store has in stock better than nothing I suppose. Do enjoy your tomatoes and it's good to see you and your dad eating healthyhave fun and take care.
