When Do Your Children Go Back To School?

My Children are both grown now. But I have a granddaughter. And My Daughter does drive a school bus. Our schools here start back on August the 18th. When do your children go back to school this year?

My son started last June.That is the usual back to school month back home.Though we are not in the Philippines,there are Philippine School here in our place.They follow every thing from date the school start and the curriculum.It's like Philippine school setting in another country
.There's one thing though...
...weekdays here starts from Saturday until Wednesday.So right now you're starting your weekends...we are starting our weekdays,weekends here are Thursdays and Fridays.

Well they start early there where you live. How many days a week do they go to school, and when do they get out of school for summer break?

My kid goes to school five days a week,that is from Saturday til Wednesday...where we are.And the summer break starts April.They have 4 days holiday for Ramadan,a winter or Christmas break on December.So it's good to be celebrating 2 country's holidays/celebration.

Well, they start on a Fridady in this Parish, not quite sure why. Last year he started on the 13th, this year that school is starting on the 11th. So the 2nd Monday in August.

My daughter started kindergarten this past Monday. August 11th is terribly early. And I am still trying to adjust to the quiet. Gone are the days when school ended in June and you went back the 1st week in September. Hope your granddaughter has a good school year.

Yes,you are right that is very early. I too wish that they would go back like when we were in school. from june to sept.Hope your daughter has a wonderful time in kindergarden this year too.

My children only broke up from school on the 18th of July, so they have just been off for a week. We have another 5 weeks to go and if this week is anything to go by then it is going to fly! Mine will go back to school at the beginning of September.

Oh, just the start of the summer break for you.The time sure does fly, seems like my granddaughter just got out of school last week.I am never ready for her to go back to school. She is in a way, she misses a lot of her friends.

Mine goes back to school sometime in August but I really wish it was today!
The girl is bored out of her mind and has been for weeks. I wish school truly was year round
God only knows what she will do next year as she is supposed to graduate from HS in June.

I hear you, by the time they go back you usualy are ready!!And so are the children.My granddaughter used to go to the year round school and really loved it, but they did away with it. I really believe they are much better too.Oh Your daughter will probally go on to college when she graduates or get a job.

She will probably be forced to go to college, as thus far her education hasn't taught her barely enough to get by with saying "Would you like fries with that?"
The school system here is not as good as it once was, too lax! They let these kids get away with everything except an education

I don't understand why the kids in the US break up so early. Our kids break up when they do so they can make the best of the good weather throughout August! I think that is the reason anyway!!

Here in the Philippines, school starts sometime in June. It is suppose to be summer but in the middle of July, rain start coming and so as the storms. I already have a college, high school, intermediate and one still in the pre-school. A lot of money is really needed to keep them in school. KEEP SMILING = NEIL

Wow, that is really early, where are you located? I live in new jersey, I do not have school age children, but my god children goes back to school the thursday after Labor Day.

We stay in Arkansas.It is sort of early. I remember when I went to school we started around the first part of Sept.After the Labor Day, But I am 56 years old.That was so long ago.
