Hey friends...this morning while driving, I was thinking of writing about delhi traffic and getting your views. Every day when I drive a car in Delhi, I think that if people can use some common sense and discipline of following a lane, there will be no traffic problem in Delhi or anywhere in India. What are your views about this? How to bring in this discipline in the people driving?

How do you make people more sensible while driving is the point? with people running around with baseball bats to thrash someone for brushing their vehicle in a traffic. do you think they are civilized enough to learn the mannerism?. only way is to install cameras and more vigilant traffic police to penalise heavily for motorist who violate the rules. one thing I have observed in Delhi and NCR region, they don't give a damn for signalls, if there is a red light they keep honking, for god sake why do they want us to get killed. they jump signals if there are no on comming traffic. this is the worst I have seen. jumping red light. If sensible educated people do this how do you expect others to be disciplined?

I agree with you...100%...Educated people have no sense of driving so how can we blame village people from the NCR region to get educated for driving properly. One more thing I would like to add here is that traffic gets chocked at certain bottlenecks and after that its all free...there is a 6 lane road, but people choke it by driving at a speed of 20 in the right most lane. I never drive behind auto and bus as they never give the side, drive in the middle of the road (no road sense) and jam the traffic for up to 500 m behind them. Lets hope for the best :-)
