Exchanging My Timeshare

I feel lucky this year. I was able to do an internal Timeshare (Shell Vacation Club) exchange for my wife and I in Hawaii. I was able to also exchange another week (through RCI) for a timeshare in Tenn. Last year I tried several times to exchange and was unable to. I talked to several people who say the same thing. I would be interested in your experience with trying to exchange your timeshare.
