hi all. well, the other night my daughter rang me to tell me i was going to be a grandma. what a wonderful feeling. but she is experiencing problems, as she is bleeding. She has been for about 28 days. but she has had a positive pregnancy test and a scan shows a healthy heartbeat. she is 6 weeks. but she has a sub chronic haemorrage, which is probably the cause of the bleeding. i have been praying that everything will be alright. all i can do is stay positive and support her. i have been reading up about this problem, and it does happen a fair bit. she has given the baby a name - jellybean. i so hope things work out, she needs the happiness in her life. has anyone had this condition? best wishes to you all

Hello, my friend! What wonderful news for you... I'll bet you're over the moon. As far as the subchronic haemorraging goes, I haven't actually experienced this, nor heard of anybody who has, but I looked it up and found that it's very common in the early stages of pregnancy. I found a site with various women discussing their experiences of the condition and all of them had no further problems with their pregnancies or birth, once the heamorraging stopped. You might like to read what these mothers have said, if only to put your mind at rest. The discussion can be found at this link... http://babyfit.sparkpeople.com/archive_posts.asp?imBoard=16&imParent=408905 Of course, we all hope that things will turn out right, and your support of her will help her a lot. The first pregnancy, as we well know, can be quite a scary experience, as we don't know what to expect... i.e. what's the norm and what's not. But, I'm sure she'll be fine, Kay. Keep us up to date, won't you. Brightest Blessings my dear friend. Your little Jellybean will be fine, I'm sure. However, prayers and blessings come your way. xxx

I know that with problems like bleeding in early pregnancy it can be a worrying time. A positive pregnancy test and a scan of the heartbeat show that your daughter's pregnancy is going well. I think that it is best that your daughter makes sure she has iron in her diet. Once she gets to 12 weeks I think that she will hopefully feel her pregnancy is stable. It will be amazing when she sees a scan picture of her dear little jellybean. Good luck and all the best.
