i dont care that she did.. i think its crappy that she did but i like her and her movies too much to really hold it against her and from what i hear a lot of celebrities seem to do that but some are either not caught or get away with it because of their status..
do you care?

I actually could care less. I could also care less about Madonna's or Brittany Spears private lives. It's their problem, not mine.

pretty sad when shoplifting seems to matter than other things though.. i would definitely trade in madonna and brits popularity for winona ryder's career back

I agree. She'll always be Lydia from "Beetlejuice" to me. She was/is a phenomenal actress.

I think she should treated just like anyone else who is caught shoplifting. Being a star doesn't mean she should get preferential treatment. It's illegal to steal property and she should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

well they should do it with all stars and all stars should be screwed up career wise afterwards but seems like she is one of the few that tend to have gotten a bad name from it..

I could care less to be honest with you....and the fact that since she is such a celebrity made it such big news....but ppl tend to forget that even celebs have mental issues ya know...

i think most of hollywood probably has mental issues.. if they didnt have them before they became famous they might have them after just due to all the stress and etc

A lot of people shoplift everyday. She might just be a Kleptomaniac..If that is the case, she deserves to be forgiven as it is a medical condition.

i could care less that Winona Ryder shoplifted because i don't think it was a criminal act.
she obviously had the money to pay for whatever she took, so i think it was more of a psychological problem, or perhaps as you suggest, just for the thrill of it.
or as she probably used as a defense, maybe it was some kind of mistake.
either way i think she's a remarkable actress, and i'm sure she's learned her lesson or in the case of a mental issue, got some help.

No I do not care that Winona Ryder shoplifted because She is a good actress and everybody deserves to be forgiven. If I did something like that I would like people to still respect and forgive me so I think Winona deserves to still be loved.

I don't give two hoots about celebrity gossip. It's as much of a crime for a celebrity as it would be for anyone else.

Other than influencing kids to do the same, I could care less. What people do is what people do. I do feel that it is the store owner's responsibility to protect his goods. Who knows it could have been some publicity stunt.

Winona Ryder was a wild child. I would be awfully disappointed to see her fall prey to the influence of the masses of a$$es commonly referred to as the politically correct.

No I really do not care. They are the ones that have to live with what they did.
