If you have a sibling (either a brother or a sister), were you very close when you were growing up? I had a kid brother 4 years my junior and a sister 11 years my junior. We were not so close when we were young because of the huge age gap. In fact my brother and I used to quarrel a lot to the point we get scolded by our parents. When we grew up, our bond became stronger and realized the wrong we did when we were kids. Unfortunately, the three of us are now living in different countries. My brother is in the USA, my sister is in the Philippines and I am in Canada. If we only knew we will be in this situation, we could have tried to get together to spend quality time more. I have two boys as of this post, and expecting a baby in November. My wife and I am not sure yet if it is another boy or a baby girl. Whatever the gender is, I hope they get along well and not repeat what we did before. So far, I see that the two are getting along more often than fighting. How about you, are you in good terms with your brothers and sisters? Just Sharing, SFC

I wish I could honestly say I am on good terms with some of my siblings, but far from it. For me, sometimes it is better to avoid certain people even if they are family than to invite trouble and drama into your life. I liek peace and quiet and thus said, I try my best to avoid conflict especially when the only reaosn is because of jealousy and envy

I'm pretty close to my brother. He lives on the street next to me and stops by sometimes just to say hi. We know alot about whats going on in each others life. I'm sure if he was a sister we would be even closer lol.

My sisters are 5 years younger than me (they are twins) and although growing up I thought they were a pain in the neck, we are now very close. I would do anything for them and I'm definitely the overprotective big sister who wishes the best for them. They're more like friends now than simply sisters, which is a great feeling!

Unfortunately we are not close with my siblings wish we are but we are not. It's like we are not siblings, sometimes i envy other siblings that are very close which they can share other secrets, love each other. My siblings are different and we rarely talk with each other.

I got 4 siblings. 2 older sisters who are at least 13 years older than me and a brother who is 11 years apart. My other sister who is only a year and a half older was my playmate, "quarrelmate" and bestfriend as we were growing up. She was also my "partner in crime" all the time. We used to fight like cats and dogs but the enmity would just go away after a short while. I am more respectful and afraid of my older siblings due to wider age gaps but I know we care for one another. That's how my mother raised us. Now, that we're all married, I feel I am more open to my much older siblings because I know I won't get scolded anymore. I'm too old for that (lol). And I know they can listen to me now as a mature person. In short, we have maintained our good terms from the start and I think we have a pretty normal sibling relationships.

I have one sister and two brothers.we love each other very much. There is an unvisible bond between us four.Maybe it's so called blood. We take care of the chance we are together.I am happy for their happy things just like my happy things or even more than my happy things.I am sad for their sad things. Sometimes I thanked my parents of giving me such brothers and sister. In this way, i will never be alone.

I'd say that my relationship with my siblings has never been better... I have a big brother and a big sister.. i was the youngest... i hated them for always asking me to do things for them!!! "because they were older" ha ha... and we all have to fight over it... that was years ago... i was the youngest but i was the 1st one to have kids... i got pregnant at 19. and it was a real family discussion... my sister was like excited for me... but my brother hated me and said every bad word that came out of his mind... But after i gave birth they were all there for me... my sister was beside me when i was laboring... my brother was the one going home to bring us food or clothes to the hospital... where was my husband? DONT ASK!! Then i found out that when my brother found out that i was pregnant he cried.. I also felt really guilty for the mistake i did... but I know it made our relationship better and healthier...

I have one borther is 2 years older than me , we fight alot and we hate each other lol . I try to get along with him but it doesn't work . So if you have a brother or sister , get a long with him the best as you can or you'll regret . I'm just gonna keep on tryin and not end up like Muelitz where we both live in different countries!

When I was younger, I was more closer to my sister terry & my brothers Lynn & Tracy, & my sister Amanda didn't like me one bit. Funny thing is, everything has flipped. I hardly speak to the 2 brothers an one sis but the other sis is my best friend now!

I'd have to say my relationship with my sister is not a strong at all. Even though she is only 2 1/2 years older than I am we were never really close growing up. Okay, so there were moments she was willing to be my friend, but those times were rare. Other than that we never had that special bond that some siblings do. Unfortunately she and my mom had a falling out back in '91 and neither of us saw my sister again until 2001. That's the last time either of us have heard from her. Personally, I am used to my sister not being in my life, although I feel bad for our mom. That is her baby, after all.

Siblings are a great blessing of a God.In fact their charm is hidden in fights and these fights are not mean one's but shows love and care for each others.Generations to generations we have observed the same behaviour.I am on good terms with my sisters espically those one's which are older than me.Though we have age difference yet we are very close in terms of sharing and frienndship. As far as my younger sisters are concerned, I like them but still I love to make fun of them, tease them and take advantage of them too as I think its my right which I am using very efficiently and effectively. At heart I know i will miss them even if I am out on my camping trip or am out of station. They are there when I am in need of them and in events of support too.

Well I did get along pretty well with all my siblings when we were growing up I have 3 sisters and 1 brother.I am 56 years old, when I was 34 I moved 1000 miles away, my brother moved with me, he was younger, I raised him.He really was like my son. Then My oldest sister moved here, we are very close like best friends. My youngest sister disowned my oldest sister and me 20 years ago, we have not talked to her since. But I am very close to all the others.

I still live at home with my sister, I am 17 and she is 12. She can sometimes annoy me and I just tell her to go away, but as long as she generally stays out of my way then we get along fine. We share clothes and accessories some of the time, I think that is a good sign. I have no other siblings.

well its difficult. i have an older sister and a younger brother from my mom. and from my dad i have 3 younger brothers. i am sort of close to my family from my mom, since they are the ones i grew up with. but not so much from the other side. my dad split when i was 2 and i see him maybe once every 10 years. i havent seen him since i was like 18 so i dont really know them. i complain to my mom that my dad sets up franchies because his last wife was from germany and brought her to the u.s. was married with her for 10 years and then left her with the 2 young boys. then i find out that he remarried a flipinio and has had yet another son. i have not met this new wife- and not to mention the fact that none of the family has ever been invited to a wedding of his. except for the one with my mom. so go figure.

I have a sister that is 12 years older than me. We have always gotten along and currently right now we are living together. I do not know what I would have done without my sister and even with her now. She truly is my best friend. I think it helped us being so far apart in years we didn't have that annoying little sister, older sister thing going on if you know what I mean. :o)
