What are your secrets to draw more responses to your discussions in mylot?

The number of resposes,for various topics being discussed in mylot shows a great degree ov variation.While some discussions fail to draw a single reply, a couple of topics draw a huge responses,for the same member. How can one make a discussion more appealing to result in more number of responses? Do you have some tips and ideas?
