How to fix a slow running computer?

Any suggestions on how to get a slow running computer running faster? I've done the basic things like deleting cookies & history. Also I've done the disk cleanup & defragmenter. I've deleted unused programs too. It seems like no matter what I do, it just continues to run slow.

Are you running a good anti-virus program? Sometimes viruses, adware and worms can slow your computer down. If it's not that then maybe you don't have enough RAM to run everything that you're currently running on your PC. You could buy more RAM and see if that helps.
