My son wants name brand clothes for school...

all he wants are Hollister , abercrombie & fitch, aero, a&e, etc etc
why are kids so much into names??
i can remember when I was a kid and all of my clothes were handmade and I was happy. I had many friends and played outside all of the time. I wish for them times back.

I don't know. My son isn't to that age ye t LOL
If he was, I would tell him to get a job. Half the time I don't buy big brand names for myself.

It's tough when you're trying to fit in with or be as cool as the other kids. They can be pretty cruel if you look different, don't wear the right style, etc...
I guess you could always buy used designer clothes...there's a great store called Plato's closet that carries all those brands for much cheaper than full retail.

There are also some "overstock" type stores like TJ Maxx that sell name brands.
