Did you do any of your own piercings?

I have a some times now. 
My first time was when I was a little kid. I went into the bathroom with a safety pin and pierced my ear with it and i remember my brothering walking by and then backing up to watch me. well, I was scared so I was like pushing on it and doing it kind of slowly (no it didn't hurt more) and then it made this POP sound(after it went through my skin) IT was really weird and my brother just looked at me weirdly and said "your a freak" and walked off... 
I ended up piercings my ears maybe 5-6 times again later on in life. I took most of them out after a while though and now i just have 3 in one ear and 2 in another.
the last thing i pierced was my cartilage.. that one was a pain too and it was sore for a day but other then that it went good. I had my lip pierced too but my cat did that for me. lol so i can't take the credit!
Oh and i had my eyebrow pierced (i miss it A LOT) but i got that one done at a tattoo and piercings place.. sadly though my body rejected it

I pierced my right ear 8 times and my left 3 times, each by myself because I'm too cheap to pay someone! Sure, it hurt a little but it was so pretty with all those earrings in! Other than that, I have no other piercings. I haven't worn earrings in most of the places for a couple years but they are still there and open if I want to.

No, I am never going to either. The fact that I have to get my ears pierced from someone scares me.. Then, for me,to go and perform this same procedure is quite painful.
I hate letting someone else pierce my ears, than me alone doing it. I would be scared to see and feel the pain.. I would leave this duty to someone else..

I have my belly button , eye brow and ears piereced. I have my ears done a few times and did a couple of them myself with a needle that I heated and then stuck through my ear. It hurts a bit but not much more then when they do it and you just have ot make sure it is sterile so you don't get it infected. When I took my naval one out it was starting to close over a bit so I used the needle to widen the hole again.

hi sameroad no I have no pierceings nor do I want any, not even in my ears. I am a diabetic and any sort of wound heals much
'too slowly, i do not want to mutilate my body anyway. And I
would never do it myself as thats as sure way to court a bad infection if you are not careful. I leave that stuff to the young and careless.

Yikes! I don't think I could do that! I'd be really scared of doing my own piercings for fear of getting on infection or messing something up really badly. I'm also really, really, really sensitive to pain and hate hurting!

I thought about it several times as a kid, but never did it. I finally got my ears pierced at a piercing and tattoo place when I was 20. My body tried to reject it but I persevered for 3 years and finally figured out that I was allergic to 18K gold, silver, and anything metal except for titanium. Now my earrings are all PTFE (Teflon), acrylic, glass, lucite, or titanium.
Maybe you should try an eyebrow piercing again but try PFTE instead? I think that is supposed to be the least likely to cause rejection.

wow. No, I never pierced myself in any way. The two holes that I have in each ear lobe, I wenat and had done. I do remeber when I was in middle school, some kids would pierce their own belly buttons and tongues. Those kids freaked me out. lol. I thought it was so weird. I don't know how they did it.
