I hate my telephone ringing at night.

i think you can drop the lines when it is night in your country if you have not many important overseas relatives.

I hate to hear a telephone ringing at night. I always put my cellphone on silent mode when I'm sleeping. It would keep flashing if there's a call but rarely do I notice it. One time I woke up to my phone blinking in the middle of the night. I saw that it was my roommate's number. I wondered how in the world could he be calling me when I was just in the other room. It so happened that I had locked the door from the inside because I thought they were out. My bad. They waited outside for about 30 minutes.

You can politely tell them to understand that it is night time in your place and tell them that it would be better if they called at a more better timing which suits you. For example you can give them a timing during which you would be free and it would suit them too to call you..

i would tell the people to check international times because i wouldn't call someone abroad at old times, i always check the estimated time there. Tell them off and they will understand you, thats the best thing you can do now otherwise expect more and more of them odd calls.

Tell those people to stop disturbing you. I personally don't like disturbance during night because i want to have a good night sleep.
