She hasn't been in a church for a long time, though she always enjoyed it. It seems to her (and me) that many churches are so focused on fundraising that they forget about the real needs of the congregation so she's stayed away. However, I found a nice Presbyterian church here that is focused on the spiritual needs of the congregation and the community as a whole and is very low key on the financial side. I really enjoy this church and was raised Presbyterian.
Do you regularly attend church? (Let me say straight off that I don't think it's necessary to attend church in order to have a loving relationship with God, but it is a great support network and bring you together with people of like interests and values.) And do you feel your week is unfinished if you miss church?

hi dear i m Hindu so we dont go to the church..but every sundy we take our son to the temple to pray..i think it is very good to visit, it brings bout peace and happiness in the house..it is also important to introduce our children to prying and inculcating in them belief in God...we often take our grandmother to the temple on the wheel chair as she cannot walk

I'm very glad you're teaching your son respect for God, but you're such a good parent that I already assumed you did!
It's very important to expose children to our religion. I also think, as they get older, they should learn about other religions. That way they will be accepting of different ways to worship God.

Its good that you are taking your mom church. Its all about belief and faith. Your mom has interest to go Church then it must be her choice. Even I am not visiting church regularly. I believe god is every where. not only in church. If you really try to connect to god you just need to remember him with all your faith and positive mind. More ever i believe work is god. If you do your work honestly and thank god for all what he has given you that's enough for having a loving relationship with him.

In my opinion, you are correct! Do we expect our children to come see us every single week? No, just that they think of us with love and do as we taught them. I think that's how God our parent is. But church is a great support structure for those that need it.
