Why Do Some Men Shave and Some Don't?

Do men shave because they need to or because they want to because it is very manly? And why is it that of those who shave there some who shave off entirely their facial hair while others prefer to sport a mustache or a beard or even sideburns. Is a clean shaven man less macho than one who has a beard or mustache?

From some people's point of view, I guess all the cosmetic, shaving ,waxing stuff is girly... or maybe the hair gives them more of a caveman's aspect lol:))..I personally like it better if the man is looking like he takes care of himself,i like to see that he bothers to shave, and to look good and soft and clean..I hate moustaches and beards, even though some look good with a stripe on their face,a thin one though.. But it's ugly to see a man raise his arm and a big load of hair coming down..not to mention the face..and..why not, even the genitals, when it comes to a relationship, it can get annoying in time,to feel that hair down there..if I wanted a forrest I would go to Africa:))

Ugh! I feel the same about hair under the arms. It does not at all enhance the masculinity but i love hair on the chest. Maybe some men are just particular about their grooming while some just don't give a hoot about how they look.
