why is it very difficult to remain humble?

probably because people, especially when they are complimented, feel good about themselves. in a competitive environment, when people succeed its an achievement and you want to brag about what you have achieved. it is hard to be humble because sometimes people tend to take you for granted or you get trampled. all i can say is that humble people are the ones who get noticed most of the time. i really think that. you see, if people do their best in everything they do, they get noticed even without bragging and people starts to treat you differently... they look up to you! so there really is no need to brag!

being humble takes a lot of a person physically and mentally if you are humble since childhood its ok but to impress others if you try to be humble then its of no use
