Question about Brring Phone numbers

I though - maybe this is how it was - that when you got a Brrring account, you attached it to your home phone and every one had to listen to ads. The other days I somehow got over to the Brring site and noticed that they actually give you a number that is for the ads. Now, if some decides to hang on the line through the ad, does it go to your home phone (or whatever number you designate) or does it go to a voicemail system?
