Saviour-V teleports in.... Maiden discussion here in the "Cats" topic. Hi, everyone! Having said that, I just wanted to share something I saw today. But before that, a little backstory. Previously, we had a lot of stray cats. And I mean, quite a lot, until Mum got cross and had more than half of them given to other families a month ago. But while they were with us, we gave them quite a lot of interesting names. For instance, "Penakut Antarabangsa" or "International Scaredy-Cat", pun intended, is still with us - orange-furred, white-pawed, lovable, and quite scared of our other cats. The guy simply refuses to eat his breakfast outside with the other cats. Fitting name indeed, that. But the real focus of this story is, or rather was, on a certain "Elbow Pictus". A grey tabby cat. Pretty close to Dad, nuzzling up to him and all, until Mum tossed him out. But I didn't really know what that name meant, except for Dad mentioning "white elbows". I didn't think too much of the name until today, though. Earlier in the morning, there was a village clean-up, with the focus on eliminating Dengue mosquitoes from our neighbourhood. And just before I joined the clean-up crew, I took a closer look at the models of the mosquitoes, and my gaze fell upon one of them, and I simply laughed with Mum joining in. Y'see...one of the mosquitoes was called Aedes albopictus! No wonder that cat was quite good at sneaking into our home. Just like a mosky. So, does anyone have any wierd names for their cats? Saviour-V grins, and teleports out...

Well, I guess kitty kitty kitty doesn't count as weird. But it's the only name any of my pets responds to, the dog answers to it and so do the chickens. Anyway, I'm not allowed to name any pets, so kitty kitty kitty will have to do.

True story! back In Australia when I was a child my Mother and Father had some friends with a cat called "Herpes"! lol. They called the cat this name because every time they tried to get rid of it it kept coming back! I also had some neighbours at one time whose little girl maned their cat "Moose". God knows why??

While I will make no attempt to top your anecdote, I do have a profoundly weird cat name that I would like to share here. I know of a 3 or 4 year old boy naming his cat Slimy. You would almost expect there to be a story involving Chrisco and the cat to earn a name like Slimy. Kids do say the darnedest things...:)
