Why are people so judgemental?

Just because someone is a different religion isn't really a good reason to be judgemental. Fear of the unknown is something to overcome not run from. I have learned that if you fear something, learn about it and try to understand it.
I have run into so many judgemental people about religion and most try to push theirs on you. I don't think this is right, if you believe in something and a friend believes in something else don't push away your friend because of it.
I am so sick of being judged I am wondering how many of you out there are sick of it also? And, is there something we can do about it or do we just have to go like this. Humanity is suppose to be caring and understanding but, I see a lot who are not.

Truer words could have never been spoken.
Us humans have a tendency to judge other people, but as a certain Leland Val Vanderwall once said, "Observation is power; judgement is weakness".
We should learn to observe and understand why people do as they do. Whether one is Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Zoroastrian, or any other religion, one should learn to appreciate these differences, and win respect by caring for others.
The Wars Against Terror seem to have propogated terror itself, using shock and awe to instill fear in the hearts of many nations. Both those that are warring, and those that finance the wars' efforts.
If there really are people who have concerns that need to be addressed, why don't we properly address those concerns, instead of causing fear?
It reminds me of a Chinese commander who was staging a siege on a county that was taken over by another one. The guy was tempted to round up the county's citizens and lock them up, but was instead advised to treat those citizens with love and care.
Strange as it seemed back then, the support of the citizens ensured the swift downfall of the occupants, and the siege ended with minimal casualties.
We should care a whole lot more than we claim that we do. Even though I'm not perfect, I do genuinely hope that I can be kind and just to the people around me.

Saviour-V teleports in, and bows momentarily...
And thank you for your swift reply, comrade Kat4676. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm a Muslim, just that it saddens me when we tend to impose our will on others.
Anyhow, I'm trying to force my mind to lock down so I can sleep. It's 1:17 a.m. here in Malaysia, and Monday's looming close.
Farewell!
Saviour-V salutes Kat4676, before he teleports out...

I believe in the same way. My girlfriend is of a different religion than me, but it doesn't make a difference because we both believe in God. And it's really not the religion that matters, but rather the relationship with God, or whoever deity one chooses to worship. I accept the fact that others won't accept Christ, that's why it's called reaching out when you try to tell a good thing about God. You don't push it, you try to reach someone's heart and let her feel the conviction. If it's not there, you can't do anything about it. We both believe in God and we maintain our relationship with Him. But being judgmental about someone just because he's of a religion different to you, it's like degrading your own religion as well. For other people respect other's views, and if someone cannot do that, he has a closed mind and will never receive the thing he seeks out of his religion. I am totally with you. Instead of being caring and trying to reach others, many do it in a way that condemns you, saying "YOU ARE NOT SAVED!!!JOIN MY RELIGION AND BE SAVED!!!".

I am not sick and tired of being judged because my family is very supportive, despite the fact that my mother is very religious, she understands why I left the Catholic church, however, what really bothers me is seeing my favorite pagan videos getting troll by other people. My guess it that they don't understand it, no matter what language you tell them, to them you are evil and you worship the devil
there is nothing you can do about, except to ignore them. You can argue all day long with them and at the end you still be evil and a devil worshiper. They are so blind to see. No religion is right or wrong. You make your religion what you want it to be.
